Kristin Ahr
Kristin M. Ahr, a member of the Florida Bar for over 15 years, concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial litigation and civil trials. Kristin was raised in North Palm Beach, Florida. After graduating from the Benjamin School, Kristin attended Boston College. Kristin was named on the Dean's List and graduated from Boston College with a Major in Communications and a Minor in American Studies. Kristin graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 1995. At UM Law, Kristin was Articles and Comments Editor of the University of Miami Law Review and was Research Assistant to Law Professor Lili Levi.
Kristin has handled jury and bench trials in a variety of commercial and civil matters. Kristin has significant experience and expertise in document-intensive real estate, commercial, contract and business tort matters. Kristin was a part of a team of attorneys responsible for researching, investigation, finding and reviewing all Florida state agencies and departments' documents, background materials and research related to the multi-billion dollar suit by the State of Florida against tobacco manufacturers. She has successfully represented both employers and employees in litigation involving the enforcement of non-compete agreements and theft of trade secrets. Kristin has worked on appeals in both state and federal courts, including the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal.
Kristin was recently appointed by the President of the Florida Bar to the Code & Rules of Evidence Committee (CREC). The CREC considers legislative and judicial proposals for court rules and amendments related to the Law of Evidence. The CREC is composed of attorneys and judges with extensive experience and training in the area of evidence law.
