William M. Michaelson, CPA, CFE, CFF, MAE, FABFA
Bill Michaelson has provided accounting services for over 40 years throughout the country and internationally. He is a graduate of the University of Miami and a Certified Public Accountant in Florida and Tennessee. As president of Michaelson & Co., P.A., an accounting and consulting firm located in West Palm Beach, Bill has successfully developed expertise in forensic accounting and fraud detection on criminal, civil and matrimonial matters, including serving as an expert witness in federal and state court proceedings. He holds the distinction of being a Certified Fraud Examiner by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and is certified in financial forensics by the American Institute of CPA's. He is a frequent speaker on fraud detection and forensic accounting topics before national, state and local forums. He has shared his expertise with groups such as the American and Florida Institutes of CPA's, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, U.S. Navy's Judge Advocate General Core, State of Florida Division of Insurance Fraud, Florida Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention, Palm Beach County and Hispanic Bar Associations, Florida Association of Licensed Investigators, Paralegal Association of Florida and National Defender Investigator Association. Bill has written articles for publications such as The Journal of Accountancy, The Practical Accountant, and the Florida CPA Today and is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Forensic Accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Florida Institute of CPAs, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Florida Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention, and the Academy of Experts, an international professional society and qualifying body for experienced expert witnesses and a Fellow of the American Board of Forensic Accountants.
